Marvel Ultimate Alliance

Over the years, video games based on comic book heroes haven't fared well. Name one good Batman video game, I dare you. Spider-man has had the biggest success rate in recent years, and the Hulk had a pretty good entry last year, but beyond that you're stretching things a bit. When X-Men: Legends came out a few years back, it was the start of a positive trend. Now everything has been set perfect by Marvel Ultimate Alliance.

Bayonetta

Bayonetta is a stylish and cinematic action game, directed by Devil May Cry creator Hideki Kamiya, set for release in 2009 on the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. A member of an ancient witch clan and possessing powers beyond the comprehension of mere mortals, Bayonetta faces-off against countless angelic enemies, many reaching epic proportions, in a game of 100% pure, unadulterated all-out action. Outlandish finishing moves are performed with balletic grace as Bayonetta flows from one fight to another. With magnificent over-the-top action taking place in stages that are a veritable theme park of exciting attractions, Bayonetta pushes the limits of the action genre, bringing to life its fast-paced, dynamic climax combat.

Assassins Creed II

The world of the assassin is one cloaked in shadow and steeped in danger. Ensnared in a web of revenge and conspiracy, the assassin embraces power at its most elemental, acting as the dividing line between life and death. As an assassin confronted by perilous new challenges and difficult choices, what path will you choose?

Retro Game Challenge

The best retro game collection released in decades is made up entirely of fake games, many outright clones of titles you may have grown up with. Scandal? Hardly. The brilliance, and at times abject parody, not to mention the quality of the designs, art, music, even the dialog (dialog in a retro collection? yes, and it's great!), add up to what would have been my game of 2008 had it released mere months ago.

Sacred 2: Fallen Angel

I must say I was wondering how ugly this was going to look after seeing the review about graphics being nothing to brag about. I think they need to clean their glasses or stop sniffing that glue, because the graphics in this game are really good. The world is alive with waves crashing into the shore, rivers are flowing, fish swim in the water, rabbits hop around, stuff swaying in the breeze, grass moves when you run through it, shadows and lighting. It looks very GOOD to me.
