Just Dance

Bought this game for the kids based on the commercial showing all the activity and the songs. Told my wife we had to try it out first and she balked because it was late, after the kids were in bed. I nagged she gave in I lasted 3 songs she danced every song until 2 in the morning. She had so much fun the game never made it under the Xmas tree. The next day the whole family had a blast. That night friends came over and danced for 3 hours. I'm taking it to the company Xmas party.

Your Shape

This is definitely the most incredible workout on the Wii to date. To provide context, I am in average to pretty good shape. I run 3 miles in about 11 minutes a mile and can handle a good 45 minute workout pretty well. I am totally in love with this game. My Wii is now a great workout machine with EA Sports Active and Your Shape.

Mario Party 8

I've seen some complaints about the computer always rolling 10s and getting the good prizes and squares but I have not noticed this. I find the game play to be pretty competitive. We have beat the computer characters many times and there have been times where it is neck in neck and pretty exciting right to the very end.

Rock Band 2

I managed to get my hands on Rock Band 2 a bit early, and spent the entirety of the evening playing. What a drastic improvement over Rock Band 1 on the Wii! This is identical to the Xbox 360/ PS3 versions of the game, and I was even more impressed than I anticipated. I was having a blast before I even had a chance to play a single note: The character creator tool was a welcome bonus! You create a band and members, and then you hit the road. It was a really satisfying experience! This is really the first time that a Wii game has been truly competitive with other Next-Gen console games.

The Bigs

Wii fans who also like baseball have been waiting for this release - it's the first baseball game on the Wii (save for the thing that came with Wii Sports, but that doesn't really count). So I checked this out the day it was released. And it is a lot of fun!

Like most Wii games that require both the nunchuck and the Wiimote, you end up looking rather silly playing the game - so said my wife watching me play. :) But I got a kick out of it.

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3

I have played with both the classic controller and wiimote. The classic controller gives you greater control but isn't as fun as using the wiimote. The wiimote controls are not just tacked on. They put a lot of time in making wiimote work with this game. The one problem is some moves are really hard to do with the wiimote but once you get the timing down you'll be ok. Oh yeah even though some moves are harder on the wiimote others are a lot easier but with that said no moves are hard using the classic controller.

Wii Charge Station

Easily charge and store your Wii Remotes with Nyko’s Charge Station for Wii. The Charge Station includes 2 NiMH batteries, exclusively designed for the Wii Remote, each providing up to 25 hours of play time. Each battery is easily recharged by placing the Wii Remote in the charging dock. The charging dock conveniently plugs into any standard wall outlet, allowing for rapid recharging of both batteries in 8 hours. The Charge Station includes 2 custom battery covers with contact pass-through points so you can charge the batteries while they are still in the remote. Each battery cover is also rubberized for superior grip during intense gaming sessions. The Charge Station matches the décor and styling of the Wii, and is small enough to fit in any home entertainment center.

Band Hero featuring Taylor Swift

The Baby Boomers will enjoy this more than the previous Guitar Hero or Rock Band as it has much more of "our" music. And lots of today's too! Also great because one person can drop out of a song and not mess it up for the rest of the players...And changing difficulty is so easy...no need to go back to the menu each time. And we LOVED making up our characters which took almost an entire evening, everyone laughing and having fun.
